The Fox & Hounds has undergone some great improvements over the past 18 months but still retaining all of its rural charm and character. Great traditional pub food is available at realistic prices, these days value for money accounts for so much. Our menus have also been revamped to provide seasonal Fresh daily produce coming from local suppliers but still keeping the firm favourites such as Traditional home battered fish and chips and our famous

'Fox' Sunday Roast Beef.

Our beef, Lamb and Pork is locally reared and final butchering takes place on our premises, Our Game is also locally reared. Where ever possible our vegetables and salads are delivered daily from farms within a twenty mile radius. Autumn Menu

The Fox & Hounds has been the focal point of the Romney Street Area for over 400 years and is steeped in history and folklore, originally four woodcutters cottages which were purchased over the years as the local community grew and grew. Overlooking the Knatts Valley region and very close to the Pilgrims Way this is an ideal starting and finishing point for a glorious walk/hike or just to meet friends for a drink or a bite to eat. Ample parking.

The main bar area has been opened up to make a much more inviting area with the open fireplace making the winters snug and cosy. Families and Dogs are very welcome. The restaurant is well sited to allow for sectioning off for private functions which leads out to the beautiful landscaped beer garden and terrace. A wide variey of functions can and have been held in the garden including weddings, christening parties and music festivals.

We have a great selection of Draught beers and Real Ales which include Harveys Best Bitter, T.E.A Traditional English Ale, Betty Stoggs WINNER of best ale in Great Britain & other guest ales. Ciders include the excellent Biddenden Bushells & Addlestones Cider. 

In addition to these our varied range of bottled beers, ciders, Brandies, Whiskies, Fine wines & Champagne are available to tempt most palettes.
